Black Snow was installed in a blacked out hallway where the audience had to feel along the wall to find their way to the other end. Along the way, they would feel the flocking of the word “SNOW”. White Snow was installed in the main gallery and was flocked in white onto a white wall and could similarly only be “seen” by feeling it. These two installation pieces came from the idea that one can not really describe snow unless if one has felt it in order to understand it. Without seeing it, one would have to find out what it is by feeling out the letters.
